Invite people
An invitation adds a person to the organization and places them in the namespaces you choose. Invitations never give access to any other namespace.
Invite as an organization administrator
Section titled “Invite as an organization administrator”- Open organization settings and select Members.
- Under Invitations, select Invite.
- Enter one or more Email addresses, one per line or separated by commas.
- Under Namespaces, choose where the new members will work. The default namespace is preselected; clear it or add others as needed.
- Optionally choose Initial access, such as Publisher. It is granted directly in the selected namespaces when the invitation is accepted. Leave No initial access to give only each namespace’s base permission.
- Send the invitation.
When the person accepts, they join the organization, the selected namespaces, and every namespace that adds new members automatically. Initial access applies only to the namespaces you selected and is granted once. It is an ordinary direct grant afterwards: if an administrator changes or removes it, the invitation does not bring it back.
Invite as a namespace administrator
Section titled “Invite as a namespace administrator”When the organization allows it, a namespace administrator can invite people into their namespace:
- Open the namespace workspace and select Members.
- Select Invite.
- Enter the email addresses and, optionally, Initial access.
The namespace is fixed to the one you are managing. The new member also joins any namespace that adds new members automatically.
Organization administrators turn this on or off in Access → Policies → Membership with Namespace administrators can invite. It is on by default. When it is off, the Invite button does not appear for namespace administrators, who can still add existing organization members with Add members.
Pending invitations
Section titled “Pending invitations”Pending invitations appear under Invitations in organization Members, and under Pending invitations in the namespace Members section for the people invited into that namespace. Select Cancel to withdraw one.
Seat limit
Section titled “Seat limit”When the organization has a seat limit, Ravenstash checks it when you send an invitation and again when the person accepts. If no seat is available, the invitation can’t be sent or accepted.
